I wished for someone with heart, time and experience – someone there like a grandmother. That's how the idea for HappyNannies was born.

Questions we hear often
What does the placement cost?
Our placement is free of charge for families and nannies. We don't take commission – as a non-profit association we work out of conviction. The nanny's pay is agreed directly between family and nanny.
How long does it take until I have a nanny?
Usually two to four weeks from the first conversation. Depending on the region and your wishes, it can be faster – or take a little longer.
What if it doesn't fit?
We always agree on a three-month trial period with seven days notice. If the chemistry isn't right, we'll find a new solution together.
How is pay handled?
Pay is agreed directly between family and nanny. We're happy to share benchmarks and help with questions on insurance, social contributions and contracts.
Where are you active?
Our focus is Lucerne, Zug and Zurich. We match nannies across German-speaking Switzerland – feel free to get in touch, even if you live further away.
What do I need to bring as a nanny?
Experience with children, time, heart and reliability – that's what matters most. Pedagogical training isn't required. We get to know every nanny personally.
